Santa Rosa Ceramic Coating Specialists
Add durable, long-lasting, and incredible shine to your paint with a ceramic coating

A Durable, Long-Last Coating For Your Paint
A ceramic coating is a game-changer to keep your car looking in great condition. It also becomes a breeze to wash and maintain your car because the coating helps repel water, dirt, or bugs. So when it comes time to your monthly wash, none of the dirt is stuck on your paint and a simple rinse and hand-wash will keep it looking like-new.
Unlike a traditional wax or sealant that only lasts a few months, a ceramic coating can last several years. This is one of the key features that makes a coating so desirable to many Santa Rosa customers. They get it done right the first time, and with proper maintenance, they can keep their car looking great for years to come.
The Go-To Ceramic Coating Experts in Santa Rosa
Applying a ceramic coating to a vehicle is a meticulous process. It’s not like a wax where you can just wipe it on and off. With a coating, if you miss any areas and create “high spots”, you have to re-polish the panel and install again.
The process begins with thorough preparation to create a clean and smooth surface for the coating to adhere. The wheels and tires are cleaned, the paint is thoroughly hand-washed, and then we do a clay bar treatment and an iron decontamination to remove any iron fallout.
This prep work is essential to ensure a clean, “naked” surface to move to the next step of polishing the paint.
Next, depending on the condition of your vehicle and the results you’re looking to get, we’ll machine polish the paint to remove swirls, scratches, waterspots, or any other imperfections. This step is important because the ceramic coating locks in the paint’s current condition. Any imperfections left behind, like swirls or water sports, would remain visible to the eye under the sun. This also helps the coating be even glossier once we finally apply it.
Once the vehicle is fully prepped and polished, the ceramic coating is applied. Using an applicator pad, the coating is spread evenly in small sections, ensuring complete coverage of each panel.
This is where we have to be very mindful of the application. We need to wait for the coating to “flash”, meaning it’s peak ready to be buffed off, and then properly level-off the coating with two towels. The layer of coating will harden over the next few days, providing a durable shield for your paint.
If we don’t remove it properly, you will see a “high spot”, a very obvious, almost sheen like-circle, on your paint, and in order to fix it, we’d have to polish the paint and reapply.

Who Needs a Ceramic Coating on Their Vehicle?
A ceramic coating is a great option for protection, but it’s not for everyone. It just depends on what your goals are with your vehicle.
For instance, if you want protection against not just rain and dirt, but also impacts of rock chips or debris from the road, then paint protection film will be a far superior option to you. If rock hits your hood, the PPF is there to protect it. When you remove it, you’ll see the scuff and impact on the film but not your paint. As great as a ceramic coating is, it won’t give you that level of protection.
On the other hand, if you simply want to “refresh” your vehicle and don’t need to spend much time on it, then our Wash and Wax service is a perfect solution. In just a few hours, we’ll clean the wheels, wash the paint, clay bar your paint, and apply a high-quality sealant to add a layer of gloss and protection.
There’s no one-size fits all approach. We’ll recommend our services based on what you want done.

Ceramic Coating FAQs
How long does a ceramic coating last?
A ceramic coating can last several years depending on the prep, application, and the maintenance of the coating. It’s one of those things where you need to be proactive with it. After you get a coating installed and run it through car wash machines that are using low quality chemicals and harsh brushes, then your coating will be heavily deteriorated in a few months. But if you wash it properly with proper technique, then you can see it last for three plus years.
Does ceramic coating prevent scratches
Technically, yes, a coating can prevent very small, tiny, light abrasions in your paint. But that’s where a common misconception is made. A coating will not stop a rock chip or a key mark going through your paint. That’s where something like PPF is a far superior choice to impacts.
Can a ceramic coating fill in my chipped paint?
No, that’s beyond what a ceramic coating can do. Chipped paint, depending on how bad it is, can be a problem. For one, if you have bare metal exposed, meaning the three layers of paint have been removed, then it can cause rusting. But also, if you wanted to apply PPF to your paint, chipped paint can cause adhering problems. So depending on the service you’re getting, sometimes getting the chipped paint fixed first, based on how bad it is, would be recommended.
Is ceramic coating better than waxing your car?
No, I don’t think about it like that. A coating, wax, sealant, or paint protection film all serve a different purpose. It’s about finding what solution best fits your needs and wants.
